Ogólna koncepcja tych książek jest w zasadzie prosta. Nie wszyscy muszą być stuprocentowo poprawni w angielskim przez cały czas, bo taka poprawność nie zawsze jest potrzebna w angielskim przez cały czas, bo taka poprawność nie zawsze jest potrzebna do efektywnego porozumiewania się. jeśli potrafisz precyzyjnie używać języka, kiedy porozumiewasz się z kimś po angielsku, to wspaniale. Ale wielu ludzi, którzy chcą się posługiwać angielskim, za bardzo się martwi szczegółami, które są niezbyt ważne. Tym samym tracą czas i energię, wpadając w depresję z powodu swej "kiepskiej angielszczyzny", zamiast używać tego języka efektywnie.
